Why I Price My Products Low

We often hear that handmade businesses and creators shouldn’t price their products low.
The assumption is that lower prices make customers think the product isn’t good or doesn’t have any value.

There can be some truth to that, but some may have a reason to price low like me.

I price my printables low so everyone can have access to them.

That printable might be the exact thing a mom needs to help her child get on a routine. A simple chore chart could bring structure, less stress on mom, and more peace into her home. The thing is, she may not have extra money that week. She might be thinking, “I don’t have much, but I do have a little change left from last week’s groceries.”

That matters to me.

Lower pricing creates less hesitation. It makes it easier for someone to click “buy” without that guilt feeling. For some families, that small decision is actually a big deal.

Yes, as creators, it costs us time and energy to create. But one blessing about printables is that I create them one time. That allows me to give more generously without lowering quality.

The Pressure to “Charge Your Worth”

I hear it all the time: “Charge your worth.”
And I understand that.

Every creator is different, and this approach isn’t for everyone. This is what I can do. I choose to be a blessing where I can.

Some creators may feel judged for lowering prices. But for me, I don’t create based on what others think. I care about what God thinks.

I’m my own person, and this is my business.

Accessibility Matters to Me

Do I want my business to grow? Absolutely.

Do I want to make money from my work? Yes.

But… I never want the price to be the reason someone walks away from something that could help them. Families on budgets deserve access too.

I always try to think about people’s real-life situations. If I can offer a solution and remove a barrier, I want to try.

I don’t want anyone to feel guilty for purchasing my products, especially if I can help by keeping prices fair.

Cheap vs Fair (My Definition)

I hope this helps define my definition of cheap and fair:

Cheap = rushed, careless, no heart.
Fair = thoughtful, intentional, accessible.

A low price does not mean low effort. Sometimes it simply means there’s a reason behind it.

Each printable takes time. Some take longer than others. I rework designs and even delete designs that don’t match my vision. I want everything I put out to feel just right.

There is time in every design.
There is care in every product.

But I don’t place that full cost on the customer.

Because value isn’t only about price!

Who I Create For

I create for parents, teachers, small businesses, just everyday people.

Just people who need practical tools without the extra regretful thoughts with it.
